The Medical receptionist primary function is to greet patients for appointments, answer and direct calls appropriately, schedule appointments, refer to patient accounts on problem accounts and maintain waiting areas.
Knowledge of clerical and general office practices and procedures; knowledge of resources and references used on the job.
Ability to operate office equipment such as computers, typewriters, photocopiers, facsimile machines, and related equipment; ability to plan, organize, and perform work in an efficient and timely manner; ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals.
Skill in oral communication; skill in interpersonal relations.
